Shorelines are areas rich in biodiversity, and are sensitive to damage.  Over the years many shorelines have been significantly altered and this can lead to erosion, poor water quality, sedimentation, and loss of habitat. A healthy shoreline has a diverse buffer of vegetation including trees, shrubs, grasses and wildflowers to protect the waterway. The deep roots of native plants will help absorb runoff, protect against erosion and improve habitat.  The management of our shoreline properties is important to the ongoing health of the lakes, rivers, creeks and streams within the Lower Trent watershed.

To help you assess the quality of your shoreline and find ways to improve it, book a free site visit by contacting Caroline today.
